The state of emergency will last until at least May 1, 2016, the "Head" of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov told January 7 a meeting of Staff for Disaster Management as cited by Tass.

-The headquarter will work until the end of the emergency state – that is May 1, at least, said Aksyonov.

He also said that in the near future they will “firm up” the schedules of rolling blackouts, and all boilers will be provided power on a regular basis to maintain a sufficient heating level in the houses. By January 10, all municipalities are to submit their work plans in the conditions of energy deficit.

According to Sergei Shakhov, the Head of the Crimean Ministry of Emergency Situations, so far Crimea outputs 933MW with 400 MW supplied via power bridge from the Krasnodar Territory. This is about 85% of the demand.

- There are no settlements completely cut off power, said Sergei Shakhov.

Emergency state is operating in Crimea as of Nov 22 when the peninsula has been completely cut off power due to the blowing up of transmission power lines in Kherson region.
