Spiritual Management of Muslims of Crimea and Sevastopol (DUMKS) responded to Friday's "cleansing" by the Security Forces in the mosque in the village of Molodezhnoe, Simferopol district. The Muftiyat press service advised all Muslims to carry around identification documents, said the DUMK as cited by Events Crimea.

The representatives of the Law Enforcement Agencies in the annexed peninsula explained to the DUMKS press services the reasons for the unreasonable search saying they were searching for stateless persons from Central Asia among the Muslims in the mosque.

- DUMKS appeals to the compatriots with a request to be attentive both to themselves and to each other, pay attention to suspicious people and calls on to carry identity documents, reported the Muftiyat press-service.

The official website of the Crimean Muftiyat has not published the response to the searches. The Law Enforcement Agencies in Crimea do not clarify the situation with the unreasonable detention of Muslims, as well.

May 6, the Russian FSB Security Forces stormed a mosque in the village of Molodezhnoe, Simferopol district, during Jumu'ah (traditional Friday prayers in Islam -. Ed.), detained about a hundred Muslims and put them in the buses. On the way to the intended destination, the Russian Security Forces released all of the detainees ordering every of them to show up at the police station.

Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People Refat Chubarov said the Russian occupants commit such discriminatory acts only against Muslims of Crimea, and do not touch the faithful of other religions. According to Chubarov, thus the FSB aims to intimidate the Crimean Tatars and humiliate their honor and dignity.

The leader of the Crimean Tatars, the Presidential Commissioner on the Affairs of the Crimean Tatar People, Mustafa Dzhemilev believes that by means of threats and violence, the Russian authorities are trying to persuade the Muslims in annexed Crimea to cooperation.
