The images of the shelled house of the Crimean Tatar activist Dzhafer Ametov appeared in the network. Photos and video footage was published in the social network Facebook by the Head of the CEC of the Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar people Zair Smedlya.

“Dzhafar Ametov near his house, in the village Kyshlav (Kurskoe) of the Karasuvbazar district, which was shot at last night,” Smedlya signed a photo.

According to Smedlya, the police are working on the scene.

“Fortunately, none of the tenants of the house was hurt. We will monitor the situation," he reported.

Earlier today, November 16, at midnight, in the occupied Crimea in the village of Kurskoe unknown people fired gunshots at the house of Crimean Tatar activist Dzhafer Ametov.

Earlier QHA reported that the occupation authorities in the Crimea are intensifying the persecution of the Crimean Tatars in order to "suppress dissent" on the peninsula. Human Rights Watch in its statement stressed that since the occupation, Moscow subjected the indigenous population, as well as journalists, bloggers and activists, to harassment, intimidation, threats, intrusive and illegal house searches, physical assaults and kidnappings.
