Oleksandr Popkov, the lawyer of Emir-Usein Kuku, revealed the details of the detention conditions of the Crimean Tatar activist in remand centre.

According to him, in the cell, where Emir-Usein Kuku is kept, the prisoners have to sleep in turns.

“17 people for eight beds, they sleep in turn, in a stuffy cell," the lawyer said.

Popkov further noted that Emir-Usein Kuku does not complain of health problems, the political prisoner has no acute illnesses. However, from time to time his back and legs hurt, and his teeth cause him trouble.

Earlier, on the eve of the New Year it became known that in the pretrial detention center of the Krasnodar Territory, Emir-Usein Kuku and Vadim Siruk were beaten and hounded.

January 9, it became known that the persons involved in the trumped-up criminal case "Hizb ut-Tahrir " were transferred to the pre-trial detention center of the city of Rostov-on-Don (Russia).
