In Ukraine, more than one million migrants from the Crimea and the ATO zone are registered, according to the report on the website of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine.
“As of September 25, 2017, 1 592 982 migrants or 1 285 506 families from Donbas and Crimea were registered,” the ministry informs.
It is also known that 2 billion 143 million 108 thousand hryvnia have been allocated for the needs of internally displaced persons from the budget. This amount is provided for aid to pay for utilities and rent.
Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution on simplification of the procedure for obtaining assistance under the "Affordable Housing" program for internally displaced persons and ATO participants. This program involves compensation of up to 50% of the cost when purchasing housing. For its implementation, the Committee on Construction, Urban Development and Housing and Utility Services proposes the Verkhovna Rada to include expenditures of 1 billion 30 million hryvnia in the law on the budget for 2018.
