The Joined Forces began using mobile checkpoints to combat the illegal movement of arms and smuggling, the press center of the United Forces Operation (OOS) headquarters reported on Facebook.

“In response to the decision of the commander of the Joined Forces, Lieutenant-General Sergei Nayev in the security zone, measures are taken to optimize and improve the system of checkpoints. The main objective of these measures is to reduce the inconvenience to ordinary citizens while traveling along the roads of Donetsk and Luhansk regions," it was reported.

Thus, in some sections of the roads, the National Guard and the National Police as part of the Joined Forces intensify the inspection of vehicles in the Donbas.

“Mobile checkpoints and mobile patrols by forces and facilities of the National Guard of Ukraine and the National Police of Ukraine are actively engaged to prevent illegal actions to move weapons, ammunition, and smuggling along the roads of Donetsk and Luhansk regions," the press center reported.

Earlier, the National Guard of Ukraine received 500 anti-tank grenade launchers RSRL-1 of American production.
