The draft order “On the establishment of forbidden areas for navigation in the area of the construction of the transport crossing through the Kerch Strait” provides for restricting of ships and vessels traffic on August 3-6, 8-10, 14-21 and August 28-31, September 4, 2017.

The forbidden zone will include the water area of the Kerch Strait, bounded by the coastline of the Crimea and segments of straight lines connecting points with the following coordinates:

45°20'46"N 36°36'03" E – Enikale Cape, north of Kerch;
45°19'30"N 36°39'33"E – about 3 kilometers to the south of the Lysyi island from the Caucasus port;
45°14'58"N 36°34'41"E - southern tip of the Tuzla island;
45°15'06"N 36 ° 25'44"E - city beach, south of Kerch.

“Navigation of all ships and vessels, with the exception of the Navy and federal security agencies ships and vessels as well as those involved in the technological process of "Transport crossing through the Kerch Strait" construction object is prohibited in the restricted area”, according to the report.

It is specified that the captain of the Kerch seaport will ban or permit the vessels traffic after receiving relevant information from the road agency. The information must be provided at least 24 hours before the commencement or completion of construction work that impedes the ship movements.
