The figurant of "Vedzhie Kashka" case Bekir Degermendzhi who is in the Simferopol pre-trial detention facility in occupied Crimea has worse health conditions, stated a lawyer Edem Semedlyaev.

He visited an elderly Crimean Tatar in pre-trial detention facility.

As he said, Degermendzhi has an exacerbation of bronchial asthma.

"I saw that he constantly uses inhalers and I asked if he feels worse. He replied that he has a seasonal exacerbation of the bronchial asthma."

Semedlyaev reported that on September 19, an investigator announced the completion of the preliminary investigation on criminal case. Degermendzhi was final charged and once more interrogated.

"Further, we proceed to get acquainted with the materials of the criminal case. How long it will last, I can not say yet."

As QHA reported, on September 18, Aider Azamatov, a lawyer of another person involved in the  "Vedzhie Kashka" case, informed that his client Asan Chapukh in the medical unit of the pre-trial detention facility has lack of medicines and is not provided by qualified medical assistance.

Reference, the figurants of the "Vedzhie Kashka" case are: Bekir Degermendzhi, Asan Chapukh, Ruslan Trubach and Kazim Ametov. They are charged with so-called extortion of money from Turkish citizen. As the Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Nariman Dzhelal noted these accusations are fabricated.

According to him, in fact, the citizen of Turkey Yusuf Aitan had stolen seven thousand dollars from the family of the veteran of Crimean Tatar national movement Vedzhie Kashka. And activists tried to persuade him to return this money.

During the searches and detention, 83-years-old Kashka felt unwell and was hospitalized, however, she died in the hospital. The Russian occupation authorities explained her death as a "stress" which she experienced, but did not recognize that this stress was due to ill-treatment.
