On July 13, the capital of the Czech Republic hosted an action for the birthday of the prisoner of the Kremlin, Ukrainian filmmaker Oleg Sentsov.

Three members of the public organization Kaputin attached posters to the fence of the Russian embassy in the Czech Republic indicating the terms of Sentsov's detention in a Russian prison.

“On July 13, filmmaker Oleg Sentsov marks his 42nd birthday in the Siberian prison of the city of Labytnangi. Instead of a sweet cake, he will receive an injection with the basic vitamins and minerals that keep him alive. For 60 days he has been protesting through starvation,” the organizers of the action said.

Earlier, Sentsov's mother Lyudmila appealed to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin with a request for pardon of the political prisoner. Lyudmila Sentsova wrote an appeal to Putin on June 22, and it was forwarded on June 26.

The Kremlin promised to consider the appeal of Sentsov's mother about pardon, when it comes to the presidential administration, Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of Russian President Vladimir Putin stated.

Though, according to Peskov, pardon on the mother's petition is not stipulated in the Russian legislation.

July 13, Oleg Sentsov turned 42 years old. For 4 years he has been illegally detained under arrest in Russia. As of now, Sentsov has been on hunger strike for 63 days demanding the release of all Ukrainian political prisoners.
