The members of the International human rights organization Amnesty International appealed to the "Crimean Prosecutor" Natalia Poklonskaya demanding to immediately establish and reveal Erwin Ibragimov’s whereabouts and inform his family, or charge him with a crime, if such has been established.

- On May 24, an activist for the rights of the Crimean Tatars Erwin Ibragimov went missing in the city of Bakhchisarai. Since then, his whereabouts have been unknown. There are serious concerns for his safety, reads a statement by the human rights defenders.

The Amnesty International also called on all concerned to print off the appeals and personally send it to Poklonskaya.

The member of the World Congress of Crimean Tatars Erwin Ibragimov was kidnapped on May 24. His car was found near his house entrance.

Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, Nariman Dzhelyal posted a video showing how Ibragimov is kidnapped by people in the uniform of Russia's Traffic Police. According to the sources from Crimea, in the city of Bakhchisarai Erwin Ibragimov’s car was pursued by Skoda Octavia with state plates 350, registered in the 36th region of the Russian Federation (Voronezh region).

May, 26 the ARC Prosecutor's Office launched criminal proceedings over disappearance of Erwin Ibragimov, the member of the World Congress of Crimean Tatars Executive Committee and the member of Bakhchisaray regional Mejlis.

Due to the abduction of Ervin Ibragimov, the World Congress of Crimean Tatars issued a statement stressing that Russia is to blame for this incident.
