On October 1, a trial population census will be conducted in annexed Crimea, in which residents of the peninsula can participate.

This was stated by the "deputy head of the Crimea Statistics" Natalia Grigor.

According to her, the purpose of a trial population census is to develop methodological, organizational and technological issues for conducting the All-Russian population census, planned in 2020.

Nine regions are selected for the trial census in Russia. Despite the fact that Crimea did not get on this list, residents of the peninsula can take part in a census, having an account on a common government services portal.

According to the "deputy head of the Crimea Statistics", the data of the trial census will be analyzed by the Russian Federal State Statistics Service to facilitate the actual census of 2020 itself.

As reported earlier, All-Ukrainian Population Census is planned in 2020. For these purpose the Ukrainian government plans to give 119 million 743.8 thousand UAH.

Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman noted that the population census should be carried out as quickly as possible.
