Meeting of February 26, 2014 was, in fact, one of the highlights in the history of resistance to the Russian occupation of the Crimean people. On that day, a peaceful rally was held outside the building of the Supreme Council of Crimea, a rally under the slogan "Preserving the territorial integrity of Ukraine and preventing the adoption of ARC Supreme Council solutions aimed at destabilizing the situation in the autonomy."

Apart from the Crimean Tatars, the rally was attended by supporters of joining the peninsula to Russia. Within minutes, the discussion turned into a mass brawl. At night, February 27, the Supreme Council of Crimea was seized by invaders.

Then the occupation followed with the illegal referendum, "Russian world", searches, arrests, murders …

Three years later, the events of February 26 still concern the Crimean people. The absurdity of the current actions of the Russian Federation is obvious: Criminal proceedings into events that took place in the framework of the Ukrainian jurisdiction, have no legal basis. The only explanation is  political intimidation of the Crimean Tatars.

On this day, rallies in support of Crimeans will be held in different cities of Ukraine and the world.

"March of Solidarity" followed by a rally at Independence Square are to be held in Kyiv.

A telethon titled "Crimea. Three years of resistance" was announced as well.

Moreover, action-performance, dedicated to the third anniversary of the annexation of the peninsula is to be held near the Russian embassy.

Rallies will take place in Kherson on control checkpoint "Chongar" on the administrative border between the Crimea and the mainland of Ukraine.

Thousands of activists from other countries are supporting the "Day of Crimean Resistance to Russian occupation". Protests are going to take place in Turkey, Jordan, Israel, France and Poland.

February 23, an information campaign "Crimea is Ukraine. 1096 days of resistance to the Russian occupation" has started to mark the Day of Crimean Resistance to Russian occupation.
