The British destroyer HMS Duncan, which is equipped with cruise anti-ship missiles and tracking systems, entered the Black Sea, the maritime command of NATO (MARCOM) reported on Twitter.

The command of the Alliance published a photo of the destroyer that sails the Bosporus Strait. It is escorted by the Turkish frigate TCG Gaziantep.

On January 8, the destroyer left Portsmouth and joined the Mediterranean grouping of NATO ships. In the Mediterranean Sea, the ship conducted several exercises along with other ships of the compound, and then headed to the Black Sea.

In November last year, an American missile destroyer James Williams entered the Black Sea. The destroyer is armed with two launchers of the Aegis system, which allow carrying up to 56 missiles with nuclear warheads. The destroyer's crew consists of 337 people.
