Ukraine is considering three options for de-occupation of the certain districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, according to Yuri Grymchak, Deputy Minister for Temporary Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons.

He noted that the least likely scenario is a military operation.

“As for the military operation, three scenarios are considered, for the implementation on the territory of the ORDLO. The first scenario is a purely military operation. Despite all the external conditions, the command is given. Last year, the Head of the General Staff, Mr. Muzhenko, in one of his interviews said that the army of Ukraine is ready within two weeks to completely liberate the territory of the ORDLO. The only thing that we cannot answer today in our plans is what forces and means the Russian Federation will hit to meet our army. Therefore, this is the least likely scenario," Grymchak said.

The Deputy Minister stressed that "the other two plans are Croatian." He recalled that previously the Serbian Krajina, which was in Croatia with Eastern Slavonia, was liberated by military means (through the operation of the Croatian army), but then the Serbian army did not interfere in the military conflict.

“Another option that was used in Eastern Slavonia, we are today considered as the main one. This is the introduction of a peacekeeping mission preceded by the withdrawal of foreign troops (there are no other foreign troops, except Russian), the withdrawal of Russian mercenaries. Also, the militants must be disarmed, the creation of an international transitional administration to transfer these territories to Ukraine's control.”

Previously, Svyatoslav Vakarchuk, the musician and frontman of the Ukrainian band Okean Elzy said that the return of the occupied Crimea and the Donbas can only be possible if Ukraine becomes an example of success. The musician cited the example of the Head of Germany, Chancellor Konrad Adenauer, who urged citizens to make the country the best in the region in order to return the occupied territories.
