Dmytro Tymchuk, coordinator of the group “Informational resistance” informed on Facebook that commercial structures of Belarus were regularly supplying contraband to the occupied areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions through the Russian Federation.

“Commercial structures of the Republic of Belarus are engaged in the systematic smuggling of excisable food products, as well as light industry products by transit through the Russian Federation, via the "Izvarino", "Dolzhansky" and "Chervonopartizansk" checkpoints, closed in 2014 by Ukraine,” Tymchuk informed.

He noted that the total number of container vessels with the Belarusian registration was about 300 cars per day.

Earlier, Aleksander Pavlichenko, the Head of the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union noted that Russia should be held responsible for the respect of human rights in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, however it has to be proved in court. Pavlichenko added that since this territory was not controlled by the Ukrainian government it was almost impossible to observe human rights in the ORDLO.
