The United States of America began preparations for the transfer of the anti-tank missile systems Javelin to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the special representative of the US State Department on Ukraine Kurt Volker informed.

“It takes time to prepare everything: objects, where everything will be stored, methods of transmission. We are working together as they are to transport and to involve the Armed forces, "he said.

Volker further noted that the complex Javelin is designed to protect against tank attacks.

“This is a defensive technique. It is useful only when there is a tank attack. Then they can be neutralized. Therefore, it is the most protective weapons, not to attack and not for use in the line of conflict. And I think Ukraine largely shares this position," he stressed.

Reportedly, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are preparing to the introduction of the US anti-tank missile systems Javelin into service. The Chief of the General Staff, the commander in chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Army General Viktor Muzhenko stated that before the delivery of anti-tank systems, experts should check Ukraine's readiness to accept such weapons.
