June 27, in the village of Davydivka in the Simferopol district, a man broke into the house of the Crimean Tatars, killed a 33-year-old woman and wounded her young son, who later died in the hospital, according to the Investigation Committee of the Russian Federation. Reportedly, the killer was a 23-year-old local resident, who was soon detained.

On this fact, a criminal case was initiated on the points "а, b" of part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of Russia (the murder of two or more persons). The maximum sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 8 to 20 years with restriction of freedom for a period of one to two years.

According to eyewitnesses, the murderer walked along the street and went into the courtyards. He slaughtered a family of Crimean Tatars with a knife from their kitchen.

Earlier, QHA reported that in the town of Bilohirsk unknown persons committed another act of vandalism against the cathedral mosque, which was opened on April 24, 2015 by Resul Velilyaev, the Crimean Tatar entrepreneur, patron of arts, founder of the Charity Fund for the Promotion of Interethnic Accord namedafter Bekir Choban-zade.
