Poland will never accept the occupation of the Crimea, and will continue to support Ukraine in its struggle for sovereignty and territorial integrity, President of Poland Andrzej Duda stated at the meeting with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on December 2.

“Poland supports Ukraine in its struggle for sovereignty and territorial integrity. Unfortunately, part of Ukraine's territory has been invaded and occupied by Russia in violation of international law. Poland, as well as the entire international community, will never accept this fact. Today, the task of Europe and the world is to ensure the return of Ukrainian territories,” Polish President said.

The program of Poroshenko's visit to Poland on December 2 provides for the joint participation of the Presidents of Ukraine and Poland in the conference "Leadership Forum" on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the recognition of independence of Ukraine by Poland and establishment of the diplomatic relations. The head of the Ukrainian state is expected to take part in a wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on Marshal Jozef Pilsudski square and honor the memory of the great Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko. Poroshenko is also to meet with representatives of the Ukrainian community.
