August 7, part of the occupied Crimea was without power for about 20 hours. Power supply was terminated for several hours in Alushta, Balaklava, Gurzuf, Simferopol, Kerch, Yalta and other settlements. In particular, 24.8 thousand people were left without electricity in Sevastopol, and 83.9 thousand people on the territory of the Crimea.

Restrictions on the power supply in the evening of August 7 affected more than 108 thousand inhabitants of the peninsula. Earlier, the occupation authorities warned residents of the Southern coast of Crimea about possible outages due to the heat.

Earlier, large-scale power outages across Crimea took place on July 28. As a result, trolley buses stopped on the streets, many shops stopped working temporarily.

Also Crimeans then had problems with mobile communication.
