April 10 at 18:45, Russian-terrorist troops began attack against the ATO forces near settlement Maryinka, Donetsk region, as a result of which, residential area was hit.

According to preliminary information, buildings along the streets of Telman and Matrosov took the fire. In the morning, students from secondary school No. 2 were urgently evacuated to the bomb shelter.

As of now, one victim was reported - a man of 38 years old, who received a fragmentation wound of the chest and abdomen while he was engaged in housework at home. The victim covered his wife at the time of the shelling, so she managed to avoid injuries, the National Police of Donetsk region reported on Facebook.

The ATO headquarters claims that Russian-terrorist units used grenade launchers, ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft guns, heavy machine guns and small arms.

By 11 a.m. the shelling was completely ceased, according to the police. Classes at the school were resumed, but only in classrooms, where the windows are opposite to the direction of hostilities.

A criminal proceeding was instituted on the fact of shelling under Art. 258 "Terrorist Act" of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
