The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) proposed to include Ukrainian defense industry enterprises in the list of defense products manufacturers, the Ukroboronprom press service reported.

“Thus the State Concern UkrOboronProm can be approved to participate in tenders for supply of goods and services for the benefit of the members countries and partners of Alliance, under the “Non-system brokerage services” program," the report says.

Representatives of the Mission of Ukraine to NATO noted that Ukraine had become the first among NATO’s Eastern European partners, being offered such a possibility, which is the evidence of NATO’s acceptance of capabilities of Ukraine’s defense industry and enhanced confidence.

UkrOboronProm representative reminded about UOP enterprises-participants active moving to international working standards.  70% of UOP enterprises have already been certificated with Quality control system ISO 9001 and quality assurance AQAP (Allied Quality Assurance Publications) 2000 system is being introduced. 40 UOP enterprises-participants gained access to NATO Master Catalogue of References for Logistics. This tool allowed the defense sector Ukrainian enterprises to enter the international market of armaments and to implement import substitution program.

Operating with NATO Master Catalogue helped defense sector domestic enterprises to find quickly European suppliers, replacing the Russian ones.
