The scientist and religious scholar Igor Kozlovsky from the terrorist-occupied Donetsk, who has been in captivity for more than a year, will be listed for exchange, the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasily Hrytsak said at a press briefing.

“When learned about this from the network, we instructed the relevant operational units to check the information, contact relatives and then determine whether it is appropriate to include him in the lists of people to fight for. I think that we will definitely include him [Igor Kozlovsky - red.] to the lists of those people who must be released.”

In turn, the Adviser to the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Yuri Tandit, confirmed that the Professor will be included to the lists in the near future.

"We put him on our list," Tandit said.

Reportedly, an outstanding Ukrainian historian and religious scholar Igor Kozlovsky was captured by the militants of the so-called "Donetsk People's Republic" on January 27, 2016. The scientist was taken prisoner in the middle in the daytime in the center of the city and put to the cellars of the "Ministry of State Security of the Donetsk People's Republic." Representatives of the so-called "DPR" authorities took the keys from the man and searched his apartment.

Immediately after the arrest of the scientist, according to Igor’s wife Valentina Kozlovska, her husband was accused of "improper correspondence in Facebook." His nephew Denis Kozlovsky says that the actual reason for the capture is still a mystery.
