The United States Department of State has called the Russian Federation to force militants in Donbas to stop threats against OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (OSCE SMM) observers .

The US Department of State condemned the intimidation of SMM observers in Donbas and requested Russia to influence the separatists under its control to cease the "threat and humiliation campaign" and to implement the Minsk agreements.

“Washington once again called on Russia to influence the separatists to stop the threats and humiliations campaign against OSCE monitoring mission observers in Donbas”, according to the statement.

The United States Department of State also stressed that the incident in Yasynuvata on June 20, 2017, when the armed "DPR" (Donetsk People’s Republic) members had attacked the observers, became a part of the "larger efforts" of the separatists, whose goal is not to let the world community to see what is happening in terrorists controlled areas.
